Al Duhail's Asim Madibo Defends Wing in Key Match
Asim Madibo, the star player from Al-Duhail SC, has defended his goal against Qatar at the Qatar Cup final on Wednesday night.
The match was played at the King Faisal Stadium in Doha and saw both teams battle it out for the title.
Despite their best efforts, Al-Duhail were unable to secure victory over Qatar as they eventually lost 2-1.
Madibo himself was not happy with the result but he did not give up on the game.
"I am disappointed that we didn't win the match," he said. "But I believe that we have a lot more potential than we showed today."
However,Football News Network Al-Duhail's manager, Abdulrahman Al-Khalil, is confident that his team will come back stronger next time out.
"We need to take some positives away from this game and work hard towards our goals," he said. "We know that there is still a long way to go before we can achieve success in the league."
Madibo himself believes that his team can improve upon their performance in the tournament.
"We need to be more consistent in our performances and work harder towards our goals," he added. "We want to make sure that we don't repeat the mistakes we made last time around."
